On January 21st, a total of 7 teams from the top WorldTeam category will be on the starting line of the Gran Premio Castellón – Ruta de la Cerámica. The confirmed teams are: Movistar Team, UAE Team Emirates, Cofidis, Team Jayco Alula, Arkea B&B Hotels, Astana Qazaqstan Team and Decathlon AG2R La Mondiale.
The best cyclists in the world will participate in the Castellón Grand Prix – Ruta de la Cerámica. A 176.9 kilometer test, between the capital Castellón and the town of Onda, which includes three qualifying climbs and a spectacular finish to find out its first winner.
This top-level participation is assured with the confirmation of 7 WorldTeam teams, the first division of world cycling, from five different countries and with great riders in their squads.
He Movistar Team, the only Spanish team in the top category, will be at the Gran Premio Castellón – Ruta de la Cerámica. A structure with more than 40 years of history in which Miguel Induráin and Alejandro Valverde competed, and which now has Enric Mas and Nairo Quintana as spearheads.
From the United Arab Emirates comes the UAE Team Emirates, the team of Tadej Pogacar (twice winner of the Tour de France) and where the Spaniards Marc Soler, Igor Arrieta and Juan Ayuso compete. The best squad in the world according to the UCI ranking, has already confirmed its presence at the Gran Premio Castellón – Ruta de la Cerámica.
The neighboring country France will provide three top-flight teams: Arkea B&B Hotels from the region of Brittany, the Decathlon AG2R La Mondiale of Besançon and the Cofidis with a large presence of Spanish runners such as Jesús Herrada, the Izagirre brothers Ion and Gorka, Jonathan Lastra and Rubén Fernández.
There will also be the Team Jayco AlUla Australian, a team with great tradition in our country, and the Astana Kazakhstan Team from Kazakhstan. Two structures with a great nose for victory in one-day events such as this Castellón Grand Prix – Ruta de la Cerámica.
