The Second edition of the Castellón Grand Prix – Ceramics Route promises to be an unforgettable date on the international cycling calendar. With a route of 171.7 kilometersThe event brings together the best cyclists in the world in a tribute to the ceramic tradition and natural wealth of Castellón.
A tour designed for excitement
The race, which will start at 12:30 from the Ribalta Park in Castellón, will offer a varied layout that opens up the range of favourites, especially for fast cyclists with climbing skills, like the Australian Michael Matthews, winner of the first edition.
The route will cross 18 municipalities, including Castellón, Borriol, Cabanes, Villafamés and Onda, and will test competitors with three qualifying passes:
- Alto de la Coma (3rd category): in the first few kilometers.
- Serratella Peak (2nd category): a 14-kilometer challenge halfway through the course.
- Ayódar Pass (2nd category): crowned just 11 kilometers from the finish line, will be the decisive point of the race.
In addition, cyclists will fight for the sprint goals in Alba Valley and Saint John of Moró, adding even more intensity to the competition.
